At the start of the Summer 2018, Quantum2 were approached by PharmaPac to design, renovate and refurbish a two floor office block, set within a warehouse of a newly acquired industrial unit. The office building was unused, out dated and consisted of small cellular offices with very little natural light.
The challenge was to create a fully air conditioned, modern, open plan office with meeting space on the first floor. The ground floor needed to have a welcoming warm reception, production offices, toilets with disabled access and meeting space.
The interior design studio at Quantum2 had a busy and enjoyable few weeks with the PharmaPac team. Ideas and concepts were produced, aided by 2D and 3D CGI visuals... samples of carpet tiles, furniture and fabrics were abundant during this crucial consultation phase.
Four windows were installed around the outer shell of the building, bringing in much needed natural light and daylight LED ceiling panels were installed throughout on PIR sensors, for enhanced energy management.
Careful planning was needed for 14 members of staff to work and sit comfortably in the new office. We designed a bespoke bench desk with task chairs that gave us the right amount of workstations and the perfect environment to allow greater collaboration between staff.
Glazed balustrades divide the open plan area and provide a secure passage to the glazed partitioned meeting room, finished with corporate branding. The wall areas within the stairwell allowed the design team to introduce colour into the scheme and further brand attention... creating a wow factor for staff and visitors alike!
The upstairs meeting room has a 10 person bespoke oval meeting table with built in power modules for connectivity. This space was given a striking feature oak slat wall for displaying product with a 65 inch TV sunken into it.
No workplace is complete without somewhere to make a good brew... Quantum2 designed a bespoke floor to ceiling storage area with a built in tea & coffee point, housing an integral fridge and dishwasher with a fully plumbed in sink unit.
Downstairs now has toilets with safety Polyflor, a welcoming reception area with soft seating and a 50 inch audio visual display sunken into a feature oak slat wall. The production offices have matching office and meeting room furniture, providing consistency throughout this project.
All corridors, offices and meeting room areas were fitted with carpet tiles using Quantum2's in-house flooring design service.
"Working with the Quantum2 team was seamless from concept to final delivery. We are a dynamic business and wanted a workspace to reflect that on a time-frame that was unrealistic but the team delivered. Looking forward to sharing the next brief with Greg, Paul and the team…"
